Father’s Day Grilled Burgers Recipe
Make Dad something special for Father’s Day – yummy burgers!
1 lb ground chuck
2 tsp peppercorns
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream
1 tbsp parsley, minced
Heat the grill up. Shape the beef into four burger size patties and set aside.
Place the peppercorns on a large piece of foil or waxed paper. With a heavy object (bottom of pan, for example) crush and crack the peppercorns coarsely. Spread the cracked peppercorns evenly on the foil or paper and place the four burger patties on top of them. Press down so that the peppercorns stick to the beef, then flip the beef patties over and repeat. Put the beef patties onto the grill and cook until done, flipping as needed.
While the burgers are cooking on the grill, heat the vegetable oil in a pan. Add the green onions and wine vinegar. Cook over medium heat until green onions are just done. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the yogurt or sour cream and parsley. Spoon the sauce over the cooked beef patty burgers.
Serve on buns. Makes 4.
